Zettlr

Zettlr plans to redefine what writing means by being slim, fast, and versatile while allowing you to focus on what matters to you. In modern times, getting a hold of the flood of information is almost as hard as inserting a USB drive the right way on the first attempt. Zettlr itself implements a mixture of different dialects. The editor itself highlights only GitHub Flavored Markdown plus some extra elements which extends Markdown syntax with Zettelkasten elements. You can also add LaTeX-commands. Zettlr Markdown Support. Zettlr provides support for the following Markdown elements. Zettlr Your Reference Manager Zettlr integrates well with reference managers such as Zotero, JabRef, or Juris-M. Simply load your library into Zettlr, and begin to cite. Zettlr strictly adheres to established standards and does not reinvent the wheel.

Next Steps

With an incredible amount of functionality, Zettlr can prove overwhelming sometimes. The documentation helps you don't get lost in the app!

Zettlr is a Free and Open Source App (FOSS). This means that we provide the app free of charge. However, server costs, certificates, and other bills incur running costs on maintaining the app. Therefore, we'd like to kindly ask for either a one-time donation via PayPal, or becoming a patron over at Patreon, which helps us keep the project alive.

For any Open Source project, a live community is one of the most important things. The community supports new users, helps with housekeeping such as translating the app, and suggests new features. Being part of a community is an awesome treat we strongly recommend!
