Download SoftEther VPN Client Manager for your OS (Windows or MacOS) and install it.

Client work with “SSL-VPN” protocol (not L2TP), which is impossible to distuinguish from usual HTTPS-traffic (for example, for China).​

Step 2.

In the top menu select “Connect” – “New VPN Connection Settings”.

Step 3.

Enter the following settings:

  • Setting Name” – service name as you see fit;
  • Host Name” – IP-address that you received in the e-mail;
  • User Name”, “Password” – Username and Password that you set at the initial configuring of the server.
    Make sure you use your VPN username and password and NOT the Client Area credentials.

Click “OK”.

Step 4.

Right-click on the Virtual Network Adapter in the bottom part of the window and select “Reinstall Driver”.

Do not skip this step, otherwise DNS queries can go wrong!

Right-click on the VPN-connection in the top part of the window and select “Connect”.
